The “Great Locomotive Chase” (made into a movie) and the romantic image of the railroad is illustrated in words and pictures. The book is well written and informative with pictures and maps. This is a good book for a railroad buff’s collection.
The History of Railroads in America is worn a little at the spine. The dust cover has damage in the form of tears and small missing piece. One corner of the front and back cover has a little damage. The book may have been dropped on that corner. Otherwise the rest of the book is in very good shape.
